Cadence Inc. , located in Cranston, RI is currently looking for a Packing Associate on 2nd shift.

What will you be responsible/accountable for in this role?
Safely perform all functions in the Packing cell to ensure that product is ready to ship to the customer. Cell functions will include packing industrial and surgical products, assembling parts, and functioning in a control room environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Visually inspect parts for damage and cosmetic defects.
- Enter job information (part counts, completion of task) correctly into manufacturing software.
- Follow all instructions in work orders and quality database.
- Review the Pack cell report with the team as needed in order to determine the job priority.
- Develop and audit packaging labels.
- Operate both automatic and manual packing equipment.
- Count parts by hand or scale and pack into appropriate materials while maintaining the quality of the part.
- While working in the clean room, following procedures to maintain integrity of the environment.
- Follow all instructions on work order and ask questions as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, and assemble parts based on the blueprint information.
- Assist other production associates and work with a team-oriented attitude.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Identify and communicate suggestions for continuous improvement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- High school graduate or equivalent education/training preferred.
- Prior manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
- Visual inspection experience.
- Basic mathematical skills , such as the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
- Blueprint Reading experience.
