Packager – 1st Shift – East Flat Rock - $17.29/hr.

PrideStaff is recruiting for a Packager for 1st Shift for a parts distribution company located in East Flat Rock. Weekly bonus of $50 provided!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Checks product on totes for accuracy, ensuring all parts designated for that specific tote are present
• Utilizes Blue Light procedure for missing or incorrect product
• Knows rules involved when packing Limited Quantities, restricted items and hazardous materials including when to affix identity labels or placards
• Executes all steps involved in packing product: selects appropriate box size; inserts product; packing
• slip, and master invoice; affixes shipping label and/or placards; and places carton on shipping conveyor.
• Monitors tote volume on each packing lane and reallocate people as necessary to provide even distribution of workload
• Communicates over/under manned line conditions and other work matters to management
• Provides packing supplies to the packing line as needed
• Provides job training to new hires and employees
• Assists packing employees with following company procedure for missing or incorrect product
• Performs cycle counts as a part of the company's procedure
• Ensures compliance of all company safety rules and regulations
• Encourages and promotes, by example, a positive and harmonious work environment
• Maintains orderly housekeeping of all assigned areas
• Cover for other positions as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in warehouse/manufacturing environment preferred
• Team oriented
• Good mathematic skills
• Good MS Suites skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Good organizational skills
• Good time management skills

Hours of Work: Early Shift – Monday to Friday – 9:00 am to 5:30 pm or Late Shift - Monday 9:30 am - 6:30 pm on Mondays and Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am - 6:30 pm
