Jasper Mountain, a psychiatric residential treatment program located 15 miles south of the Eugene/Springfield area, seeks dependable, energetic mental health direct support professionals who are committed to making a difference for children with special needs. The Mental Health Direct Support Professional works as part of a TEAM to provide overnight child supervision for 15-20 children at a time. Children range from 4 - 13 years old. One of the primary duties of the Mental Health Direct Support Professional is to model to the children we serve that there are safe adults in the world. Work site includes the agency's two residential treatment settings (Jasper Mountain Center and SAFE Center, both located 15 miles south of the Eugene/Springfield Area).

Duties of the Mental Health Direct Support Professional on the overnight shift:

• Assist program by preparing materials or wrapping presents, special event preparations, as directed.
• Document shift on forms
• Cleaning, laundry, and dishes
• Basic food prep
• Sanitizing
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

Ability climb stairs quickly without trouble, lift laundry baskets, lift a bucket of water, wash dishes, vacuum, and perform various other housekeeping duties. In addition, Mental Health Direct Support Night Shift staff members are trained by the agency in proper methods of physically containing a child if a safety issue occurs (Crisis Prevention Institute Training).

Hours:

• 9:45 P.M. - 7:45 A.M.
• Part time, full time or relief
• Full time schedules will take into account the rigors of working the overnight shift. Schedules will be grouped in a consecutive block, i.e, Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday- Saturday, etc.

Rate:

• Starting wages are $16.58/hr-$18.76/hr with $0.25 per hour additional for weekend shifts, and $1 per hour overnight differential, depending on qualifications and relevant experience.
