Orthopedic Surgeon - Los Angeles, CA
Rate: $180,000 to $270,000 per year

About the Role:

The Orthopedic Surgeon will work along with our Primary Care medical providers and give service to patients who are suffering ailments affecting their musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Conduct minor surgeries as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Examine and treat injuries to the musculoskeletal system of the patients.
• Diagnose and prescribe treatments to ailments, injuries, disorders, or malformations and performs required surgery
• Perform various musculoskeletal surgeries including but not limited to ligament, tendons, and muscles.
• Administering general and local anesthetics, whenever necessary
• Implement, inspect and maintain Casts and Splints as necessary.
• Refer patients to physical therapy whenever necessary.
• Provide assistance and consultation to patients receiving long term treatment for any musculoskeletal ailments and injuries.
• Prescribe medications to improve recovery and implement pain management techniques or refer to pain management specialists whenever necessary.
• Supervise patient care and coordinate with other specialists to implement treatments as needed.
• Maintain and update historical records of patients by documenting symptoms, medications, and treatment events.
• Educate patients and caregivers about treatment plans, best practices, and the progress of the treatment.
• Precept medical students and supervise mid-level providers as needed.

Qualifications:

• 3 years experience in general surgery
• At least 2 years experience in Orthopedic surgery
• Current BC/BE in orthopedic surgery
• Licensed without restrictions, to practice in California
• Active DEA license
• Able and willing to precept medical students
• Able to work in Los Angeles, CA
• Ability to speak in fluent Spanish is highly preferred
• Authorized to work in the US

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $80.00 - $120.00 per hour
