Optometric Assistant/ Optician
Job description
Full time or part time positions will be open for a dependable, enthusiastic, experienced Optometric assistant and/or Optician with excellent patient care skills to join our team. Hours can be somewhat flexible but will include some Saturday hours..
Duties for ASSISTANT may include Front desk help, appointments, check-in, pretesting, contact lens related duties, insurance verification, mild billing and other general office duties. Bilingual/ Spanish a plus. Experience with various vision and medical insurance required. Officemate experience helpful.
Duties for OPTICIAN may include: -Optical sales / inventory management and Insurance billing along with other general optician duties -General eyeglass repairs and adjustments. Lab edging and finishing will be required but willing to train. Some crossover Optometric assisting duties may be required including reception help, exam pre-testing, appointment scheduling and insurance billing. Please send resume with salary requirements
