Who we’re looking for:

The People Operations Generalist will be responsible for the management and execution of daily people operations projects and tasks related to employee relations and investigations; performance management; onboarding and offboarding; HRIS administration, reporting and compliance; and benefits administration.


How you’ll make an impact:

  • Assist in developing, updating, and executing personnel procedures and policies in compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws; provide guidance and interpretation for business operations.
  • Maintain personnel files, ensuring proper organization, consistency, completeness, and compliance with policies at all stages of the employee life cycle.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes and related activities, including, but not limited to background checks, data entry, I-9 verification, scheduling, planning, stay surveys and exit interviews.
  • Provide support for all employee relations matters including conflict resolution, mediations, confidential investigations, and other related inquiries.
  • Assist, advise and coach leaders on performance management best practices; conduct various performance processes for employees, including performance planning, annual evaluations, periodic check-ins, and appraisals.
  • Effectively navigate HR technologies and systems; maintain data integrity, confidentiality, and security; complete audits as required.
  • Responsible for generating various reports related to employee headcount, organizational charts, turnover data, and ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Support the benefits enrollment process for new and existing employees, and partner with benefits brokers to make changes and updates, as required.
  • Process verifications of employment, unemployment claims, worker’s compensation, leaves of absence and disability claim requests.
  • Assist with managing the Life@Edible employee resource group and other employee engagement programs (e.g., reward and recognition programs, birthday gifts, holiday gifts, service, and recognition awards, etc.).
  • Work closely with People Business Partners and collaborate with cross functional teams to execute special projects and assignments as needed.
  • Build positive relationships with employees through excellent and proactive communication.
  • Maintain the strictest confidentiality of all sensitive information and maintain a human resources code of conduct that reinforces professionalism, credibility, and capability.


And here’s what we think you’re like:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • SHRM certification preferred
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now a plus
  • 5+ years of HR generalist experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of labor laws, standards, and employment legal climate
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment
  • Must have proven conflict resolution skills, must be able to think through complex HR issues and arrive at well-thought out conclusions
  • Highly proficient/excellent MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel, internet and related computer skills
  • Must have excellent prioritization skills and able to effectively manage priorities
  • Must be highly confidential, professional, articulate and customer-friendly
  • Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful with a “get-it-done, can-do” attitude
  • Self-starter, proactive
