The Operational Readiness (OR) Specialist (Level II) is part of the The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Nuclear Enterprise Support Directorate (NE), Mission Assurance (MA) Department. The OR Specialist (Level II) performs integrated, multidisciplinary, Mission Assurance Assessments that assess vulnerabilities of critical U.S. and allied national/theater mission systems, networks, architectures, infrastructures, and assets. These assessments are generally requested by the DoD Chief Information Officer; Combatant Commands (CCMDs); Undersecretary of Defense Acquisition and Sustainment (USD(A&S)); Undersecretary of Defense Intelligence (USD(I)); Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA); and other Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal agencies, and are coordinated through the Joint Chiefs of Staff and DTRA.
The Operational Readiness (OR) Specialist (Level II) shall conduct assessments of continuity of operations programs (COOP), supporting materials and services (supply chain), emergency management (EM) plans; chemical, biological, nuclear, and radiological (CBRN) preparedness and survivability; and force health protection to protect personnel, critical assets, and missions from hazards and threats that may impact the installation, facility, or asset. Possess experience and proficiency in all aspects of COOP (business continuity, operations planning), comprehension of Emergency Management and CBRNE plans and programs, to include incident response and consequence management, mass warning and notification, and support agreements. Capacity to become knowledgeable supply chain and force health protection program areas, and fluent in DoD, Service, CCMD, Agency, or Field Activity policies, directives, guidance, and instructions related to the four key protection programs assessed. Knowledgeable in EM risk management processes such as the all-hazards threat assessment (AHTA) and capability assessment methodology.
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 7 years related experience.
Must have an Active TS/SCI US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance.
