Office Manager (Bilingual Spanish) – Mental Health Services for Children, Youth and Family Program
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday; some evenings required. Clinic hours are Monday and Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Pay Rate: $21.50 to $23.50 per hour
Program Overview:
Located in Chula Vista, CA, Nueva Vista Family Services is a children/youth outpatient program which provides services to the Central/North Central regions of San Diego County. We provide a range of services including crisis intervention, individual, family, and group therapy, medication support, rehabilitation, case management and drug and alcohol services while incorporating the family systems and wrap-around approach. We provide mental health services to children and youth with Medi-Cal and Healthy Families Funding as well as those who are uninsured and underinsured.
As an Office Manager, you will...
- Assist the Program Director to ensure the office operates efficiently and effectively.
- Perform a variety of administrative and accounting tasks including data entry, reporting and tracking information for program management as well as maintaining accounts payable and receivable.
- Audit timesheets, maintaining provisional bank account and collecting/compiling information for the preparation of operating reports.
- Oversee and assist with clerical and reception duties including answering telephones, screening calls, taking messages, typing, filing, client scheduling and opening mail.
- May direct the work of other office personnel.
Qualifications/Skills Requirement
- Bilingual Spanish (read, write and speak fluently) is required for this position
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two (2) years’ experience working within a Child, Youth and Family mental health clinic is preferred
- Strong phone etiquette, ability to multi-task, ability to manage multi-phone lines, strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and must thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of MS Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook applications along with Internet research skills, demonstrated ability to type a min. 40/wpm are essential for success in this position. Familiarity with County Electronic Health Record system and Health and Human Service reporting requirements strongly preferred
- Solid mathematical skills required
- Reliable transportation is required to fulfill the essential functions of this position. A valid California driver’s license in good standing and proof of insurance are required for employees driving personal vehicles on company business.
- Able to pass criminal/background clearance
