Brief Summary of Job Description
The Educator Certification office associate primarily works with educator certification and post-baccalaureate students.
Job Duties
Duties include:
- Completes certification forms
- Processes and tracks programs of study
- Assists students and prospective students
- Maintains student files (paper and electronic)
- Makes travel arrangements
- Assists in maintaining office financials
- Opens and closes office daily
- Maintains a professional office atmosphere
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 1 year of previous experience in office environment
- must have strong human relations skills and good oral and written communication skills
- be able to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds
- general understanding of the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- up to 3 years of pervious experience in an office environment
- knowledge of educator certification process
- experience working in a college or university setting
- experience working with PeopleSoft and other University systems
Physical Demands
Schedule
M-F, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., 40 hours/week
