A Los Angeles-based construction corporation is seeking an Office Assistant! This is a great opportunity for a dedicated and hard-working person who wants to work in a friendly and comfortable office environment!

Who we are: We are a dynamic, family-owned construction corporation that specializes in a variety of construction services for single and multi-family properties. Our business was established in 1977 and is located in the San Fernando valley. Job Type: Full-time (40 hours a week in office, Monday-Friday)

Job Location: Corporate office in Van Nuys, CA

Compensation: $36,000 - $40,000 per year, plus bonuses for good performance

You will work on the following tasks:

(1) Answer in-bound telephone calls/web-forms/emails from existing and potential clients. Answer questions about our construction services. Schedule at-home inspections and confirm appointments.

(2) Assist in following-up with potential clients. Draft client agreements from existing templates. Send client invoices and settle client financial accounts. Follow-up on related office-based activities, as assigned.

(3) Work on a user-friendly desktop database of existing construction projects to update project schedules, record activities, update client documents, update financial invoices, and perform other computer-related tasks, as required.

(4) Assist with other miscellaneous office tasks (e.g., maintain stock of office materials, order new supplies, etc.).

You are qualified if:

(1) You have, at MINIMUM 2 years experience working as an Office Assistant in an office environment.

(2) You have great typing / telephone / email / texting communication skills.

(3) You are familiar with user-friendly computer software.

(4) You are self-motivated, and are willing and able to work independently.

(5) You have great customer service skills, great written and verbal communication skills, and you can keep a friendly and positive attitude with customers and colleagues.

(6) You have at least some college courses (a college degree is a plus).

(7) You are punctual and willing to arrive on-time at work every day.
