OEM Analyst (Supply Chain Analyst II)
Location: Downtown Grand Rapids, MI
Status: Permanent, Full-Time, Salary, Exempt
Experience/Seniority: Experienced
In-Office/Remote: This position is not open to 100% remote work for external candidates, and you must be able to regularly commute to our office in Grand Rapids, MI (downtown). Internal candidates are encouraged to apply and remote options may be available.
Travel: Yes, approximately <10%; travel to various boat shows &/or Tommy's locations.
SUMMARY
The OEM Analyst will support the OEM Project Manager and will be working with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders for balancing supply and demand. The position will be responsible for the performance of the inventory KPIs and will play a key role in driving vital process improvements needed for efficiently managing product flow, optimizing working capital and improving communication with customers and internal stakeholders. The position will be instrumental in driving fact-based decision making by providing reports and analysis needed for building supply chain strategy and managing day-to-day operations. This individual will also play a critical role in addressing supply issues that may affect the ability to promptly serve the customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the purchasing of ALL new marine vessel inventory
- Serve as the manager for of ALL new and used marine vessels supply chain and logistics including boat shipping from vendors to stores and store to store/customers
- Responsible for forecasting marine purchasing, including (but not limited to) the generation of new forecasting models
- Responsible for the tracking, collection, and management ALL marine vessel vendor rebate programs; long term, own in its entirety all vendor rebate program contract negotiations
- Utilize alternative third-party tools to create methods enabling enhanced visibility into market penetration
- Oversee and manage all future marine vessel vendor relationships in the event of mergers, acquisitions or the adoption of new brands
- Manage the input of fixed cost components driven to the dealership network from corporate level within the Dealership Management Software [DMS]
- Manage the Vendor Quality programs, serving as lead for Tommy’s to resolve of all prior, current and potential quality issues
- Any other task as requested by supervisor

- Support the creation of aggressive growth budgets with strict cost control

- Coordinate strategic plans with each store to improve market share in existing territories
- Work with boat manufacturers to improve Quality through collaboration and real-time data
- Communication: Able to interact professional with colleagues, clients, and company personnel; able to clearly and effectively communicate information both verbally and in writing.
- Training: Able to clearly document company procedures and policies and train staff and employees accordingly.
- Organization: Ability to simplify processes, organize tasks, data, and files to help improve overall efficiency.

- Willing to travel to various business locations to ensure a thorough understanding of our products, processes and facilities (<10% of time)

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, Preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience as Supply Chain Analyst or similar role, Required.
- Microsoft Office Experience: Advanced, Required.
- MS Counterpoint Experience, Preferred.
- MS Excel: POWER USER (Advanced), Required.
- Business Acumen Experience: Must have prior experience aiding in the creation of business tools and processes of identified business opportunities (behavioral and financial) independently as well as collaboratively, and implement them to usable, trackable business solutions, Required.
