Job description
Our organization is looking for a non-contract licensed and experienced Occupational Therapist.
As an OT your goal will be to help patients improve their daily living capabilities. You will work closely with the COTAs to ensure the most optimal outcome for each patient.
Responsibilities
- Plan the components of care and interventions in a technically competent manner
- Instruct and counsel COTAs and patients effectively in exercises
- Identify patient's needs and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy for individual differences
- Complete documentation to support the delivery of occupational therapy services
- Participate in patient status judgments
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards
- Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge
Skills/Qualifications
- Proven working experience as an occupational therapist
- Excellent knowledge of physiology best practices and standards
- Ability to teach therapeutic exercises, functional training, and physical modalities
- Ability to communicate and instruct effectively
- License to practice
