Position Overview:

Riverview Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center is currently hiring for a per diem Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant for short term rehabilitation and long-term care residents. Must be a graduate of an accredited OT or OTA program. Flexible schedule available. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Treatment of short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residents as ordered by a medical provider. Participation in family meetings, care plan meetings and discharge planning as needed in order to facilitate communication between all disciplines, residents and family. Collaboration with team of Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, nursing, dietary and social work staff. Identification and treatment of physical needs & daily living functions as necessary. Adherence to applicable state regulations concerning Occupational Therapy.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy or Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Current and unrestricted OT or OTA license in New York

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• A high level of professionalism and organizational skills

• Strong computer skills and time management skills
