Position Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for providing administrative support to sales department and account executives and projecting a professional company image through inner office and phone interactions, and comply with all company policies, GMP, OSHA, Federal State and Local regulations and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Log into the queue daily, answer inquiries, requests and complaints, and handle them as appropriate
- Process practitioner orders, including phone, facsimile, and e-mail orders
- Develop excellent relationship with practitioners by providing excellent customer service
- Respond to e-mail from staff and practitioner accounts
- Inform Account Executive(s) (Director of Sales & Marketing Operations) of pertinent issues
- Support Account Executive in the regional territory
- Type and distribute all relative correspondence (i.e., welcome letters, special events correspondence, etc.)
- Coordinate/mail new practitioner packets
- Make necessary phone calls including confirmation of appointments for Account Executive(s) as appropriate
- Follow up with Account Executive(s) on scheduled appointments and customer requests
- Schedule Account Executive(s) appointments as appropriate
- Attend meetings as required
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to exchange or convey information
- Organize and maintain messages for Account Executive(s)
- Maintain backorder tracking system and send backorders out in a timely manner
- Working knowledge of the Account Executive's duties to effectively execute responsibilities accordingly
- Document customer returns, shipments, order entry, shipping errors correctly and efficiently
- Retrieve voicemails for Account Executive(s) in a timely manner execute accordingly.
- Address customer/practitioner questions as appropriate
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in science, nutrition, business or health-related field
- 3 to 5+ years’ of sales experience preferred
- Previous documented sales success a plus
- A scientific, nutritional or medical background a plus
Core Competencies:
- Must have a genuine interest in healthy lifestyle/nutrition or lifestyle-related field
- Professional, courteous telephone manner
- Able to field several calls simultaneously when needed
- Basic computer skills (MS Office Applications)
- Accurate typing ability
- Able to learn nutritional knowledge to adequately advise customers on key health concerns and product usage
- Accountability to follow through on commitments
- Team player; goes the extra mile when needed
- No cold calling
- Must speak/read English
Working Conditions:
- Remote office work
