Nassau County Medical Arts is looking for a part-time Nurse Practitioner for our Medical Practice in New Hyde Park, NY to work on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. As Physician Assistant, you will play an integral role in the day-to-day functions of the medical practice. We have won numerous awards for excellence in patient care and employee satisfaction.

Nurse Practitioner Job Responsibilities:

• Supports the institution's mission, philosophy, goals, objectives, and clinical service.
• Educates patients and families to facilitate and promote healthy adjustment to new or changed health patterns.
• Evaluates treatment and health care plans for effectiveness and modify them per clinical standards and practice protocols.
• Performs delegated clinical duties effectively and efficiently.
• Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, practical communication skills, creative problem solving, and excellent critical thinking skills.
• Assists in preparing, implementing, and evaluating research protocols when applicable.
• Participates in the development and monitoring of patient outcomes per established practice protocols for purposes of quality and performance improvement.
• Serves as a clinical expert and resource for the education of peers and other health professionals.
• Promotes own professional growth and development in a clinical role.
• Functions as a respectful member of the health care team.
• Participates in designated activities related to professional NP practice standards.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Core Values and incorporates them into the performance of responsibilities.

Required Skills

• Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner or NP fellowship experience is preferred
• 1+ years of Primary Care experience preferred
• Current NYS Nurse Practitioner
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership qualities
