Fertility Institute of New Jersey & New York, an Axia Women’s Health care center located in Oradell, NJ, is seeking a full-time Advanced Nurse Practitioner with Fertility experience. This is an outstanding opportunity to commence straightaway with an established patient following in a collaborative team environment.

Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner will participate as an integral part of the treatment team by collaborating with Physicians to establish Fertility treatment plans for families in need of reproductive services.

• Demonstrates with full confidence advanced knowledge and skills in the care of Infertility patients
• Independently performs Transvaginal Ultrasound, Intrauterine Insemination, Saline Sonograms, & New Patient Consultations
• Educates patients and families on Infertility evaluations, medications and treatment protocols
• Position requires early morning start time (5:45 a.m.) at minimum 2/week
• Practices under the standard procedure established for the PA or NP role consistent with Company policy and in accordance with all legal requirements
• Conducts age - appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination consistent with department protocol
• Performs assessment/data collection in an on-going systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and cognitive status, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy
• Consults with supervising physician or other clinicians as dictated by patient need and assessment findings
• Participates with physicians and other clinicians in the department to assure effective patient care consistent with quality indicators for patients cared for in the designated service
• Reviews medical record for follow up or ordering of diagnostic studies under established protocols
• Establishes effective working relationships with members of the health care team, patients, and families
• Performs efficiently in emergency situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events
• Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues, including patient confidentiality and risk management in all aspects of patient care and unit functioning

Qualifications:

• Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility experience required.
• Qualified candidates must possess solid imaging and consultation skills.
• Active, unrestricted New Jersey APN license, CDS & DEA.
• Eligible to participate in state programs including but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid.
• Ability to work at least two early mornings (as early as 5:45 am)/week.
