Job Summary
The Salt-Water Disposal Night Operator will be responsible for overall operation, movement, and maintenance of a saltwater pipeline and saltwater disposal facilities, as well as all related equipment in our Killdeer field. This position will report to the appropriate Foreman.
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Responsible for operating and maintaining saltwater-gathering pipeline and disposal.

Conduct routine inspection of pipeline right-of-way.
-
Maintain and document all pipeline-pigging.
-
Required to perform routine maintenance to pipeline, pumps, tanks, vessels and related equipment.
-
Responsible for monitoring daily inlet and injection data to ensure a continuity of disposal service.
-
Coordinate and oversee truck and pipeline inlet operations.
-
Monitor drivers for proper procedures and the use of personal protection equipment.
-
Ensuring no hazardous materials are put into the disposal well.
-
Checking fluid levels of each tank and setting limit switches for maximum levels
-
Must monitor and respond as needed to operational SCADA alarms.
-
Both in the field and at the salt-water disposal facility.
-
Responsible for keeping facility clean and functional at all times.
-
Responsible for recording all data pertaining to incoming saltwater volumes, injection volumes, pressures, pipeline, and alarms.

Repair and replace salt-water pipeline equipment and related equipment as time allows.
-
Ensure that daily operations are in compliance with federal and state environmental regulations.

Document daily shipping totals as required.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Valid Driver’s License.

May require the ability to pass a respiratory fit test.

An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.

Housing within 50 miles of the assigned area of operation.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended period of time.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time.

Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers.

Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day during all types of weather conditions

Ability to one arm carry up to 25lbs. without assistance.

Regular bending, crouching, pulling, and kneeling to check equipment and gauges.

Must be able to exert up to 50lbs. of force occasionally and up to 20lbs. frequently to move or manipulate objects.

Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities.
-
Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in field, hazardous chemicals, and hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required.

Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
