Entegris is seeking a skilled Chemist to expand our new product development team. You will work closely with our Senior Scientists and with other senior team members to support new product development and product release. While you continue to broaden your technical skill, you will be highly involved in pilot scale distillations, purifications and synthesis. Demonstrate your drive and innovation as you play a critical role on a dynamic team in a growing organization.

This position is in our Burnet, TX facility, located in beautiful Texas Hill Country!

In this role you will:
  • Independently and in partnership with technical staff, participate in the synthesis and purification of air and moisture sensitive organometallic precursors for CVD and ALD applications
  • Pull chemistry samples and submit to the lab for analysis
  • Fulfill NPD/RND sample orders in a timely fashion containing the highest quality compounds
  • Document all experiments, processes and procedures while adhering to documentation and system standards and policies
  • Conduct laboratory maintenance including PMs, ordering supplies, cleanup, waste disposal, and adherence to 5S standards
  • Assemble and install equipment in support of NPD/RND capital projects
  • Assist in the collection of data, in order to support NPD/RND scale-up activities
  • Assist in developing, daily check sheets, work instructions, and safety reviews for NPD/RND equipment and chemical compounds
  • Accountable for on-time delivery of NPD/RND products from making to filling to shipping
  • Make recommendations and implement changes to continually improve efficiency in all areas of responsibility
  • Run production schedule, complete work orders, transact inventory and print labels

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field
  • Previous manufacturing experience; New Product Development/Scale-up experience is a plus; relevant co-op/internship experience will be considered
  • Previous chemical handling experience
  • Knowledge of inventory management; SAP experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45000 is a plus
  • Creative/innovative thinker and observer with strong technical problem-solving capability
  • Ability to gain respirator certification and wear proper PPE as required
  • Flexibility with ability to rapidly respond to new situations and to perform multiple tasks
  • Strong personal integrity
  • Team player attitude with a desire for excellence and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work safely with a high degree of quality while meeting daily production demands
