This individual will be responsible for large catering events with a high-dollar value, and/or multi-city, multi-state events. The National Catering Events Manager will partner with and ensure the long-term success of these high value customers. You will be responsible for overseeing an existing book of business to ensure your catering customers are continuing their frequency of ordering. You will liaise between our customers and our dedicated catering teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery for their catering event needs. Your goal is to maintain and grow the existing book of business through strategic account maintenance calls and leveraging referrals from both internal and external resources.
FOCUS
Essential Functions of the Job and Key Responsibilities:
- Through focused sales building efforts, such as account maintenance calls and strategic follow up, contact leads and clients to secure future orders and generate incremental revenue
- Accountable for managing the support team, developing a business plan and strategy to meet and exceed revenue goals
- Operates as a point of contact for any and all matters specific to your clients catering needs.
- Create proposals to meet client event needs.
- Build and maintain positive client relationships within all client accounts, as well as internal customers, including our franchise partners.
- Develops and executes a strategic account development plan in order to ensure continued sales growth within each account.
- Uncover referral opportunities through existing client base and retail catering teams
- Utilize CRM (Salesforce.com) to enter detailed client information and create follow-up tasks in order to hit the target revenue goal.
- Prioritize a call list of high-potential new and existing customers by analyzing reports within Salesforce.com and other resources provided
- Process a high volume of outbound and inbound calls.
- Action oriented, responding to client needs with timely follow-up
- Communicate effectively both internally and externally
- Effectively coaches and develops the support (field) team for National Events
- Utilizes Outlook Calendar and SalesForce.com as well as other online resources to maximize organization, game plan and follow up.
- Represents themselves with the highest level of integrity and professionalism. Maintains a Service-focused approach, and a caring and sincere attitude at all times.
Additional Job Functions:
- Attend and participate in team meetings as needed
- Available to work a flexible schedule that includes weekend or evenings when needed
- Perform other job functions in addition to the above-mentioned, per supervisors discretion
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to sit for a minimum of 8 hours or as needed
- Able to travel to meetings as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

- Ability to develop rapport and relationships with both internal and external customers.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 2-5 years of outside sales experience
- Minimum 3 years of national/regional account experience
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
