MYSQL Database Admin

Oniste at Dallas TX/ Charlottee, NC

MySQL DBA to support High tier production systems and assist in a number of projects. Strong knowledge of Innodb cluster is a must.

Key Responsibilities /Skills

MySQL Database Operations team provides System DBA services to the Enterprise across all the CTOs. It provides end to end Critical Production support and takes care of the MySQL Server infrastructure. The team handles the Event , Incident, Change and Problem management functions for the MySQL database infrastructure across the Enterprise. The MySQL Server build and configuration activities are also performed by the MySQL Operations team along with design, develop and implementation, Performance tuning and Compliance functions.

• 7 -10 years of experience in MySQL Database administration

• Experience in MySQL High Availability implementation

• Installation, configuration and upgrading of MySQL software and related products

• Should be strong in performance tuning and troubleshooting

• Able to handle pressure situations since team has got stringent SLAs.

• Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures

• Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)

• Work as part of a team and provide 8x5 support when required

• A good understanding of the underlying operating system

• Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle

• Should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators

• Should have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines

• Should possess a sound understanding of the business

• Exposure to Oracle Enterprise and MySQL Enterprise monitoring tools

Nice to have:

• Understanding of Golden gate

• Scripting/SQL skills

• Foglight and MEM monitoring

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
