Job description
The Mr. Payroll District Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining Guest Services in support of our company values. The Mr. Payroll District Manager will provide “hand on” overall leadership and direction to Mr. Payroll Team Members, to ensure the Mr. Payroll stores financial performance and Guest service meets or exceeds company goals. Mr. Payroll Regional Supervisor assures all company policies and procedures are followed. In addition, other duties assigned by the Director of Operations.
The Mr. Payroll District Manager will perform work activities as required or needed as listed in the Duties and Responsibilities. In addition, other duties assigned.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Communicates and aligns with the Director of Operations to ensure corporate objectives and tasks are aligned with Mr. Payroll operations and activities.
- Aligns with other Departments to provide appropriate communications and support as needed.
- Follows out, as directed by Director of Operations, the Department Goals and Objectives.
- Provides individual contributions to support the store and staff as needed.
- Performs the following tasks and activities to support the Guests and Store Staff:
- Conducts training and provides supervision of all store teammates.
- Performs many/most of the same duties as business needs require.
- Complete all required computer-based training and other on the job training including Manager training.
- Enforce and support training of all employees.
- Enforce attendance, safety, uniform, and other company policies.
- Attend or conduct store safety and policy meetings.
- Complete all administrative needs of store and operations.
- Oversees and maintains Mr. Payroll bank accounts. Controls the line of credit by pulling from or paying to the balance, as needed.
- Oversees, processes, & sends in each locations change orders twice a week. As well as oversees the logistics of who & when the change orders will be delivered.
- In charge of return items:
- Goes thru third-party vendor’s return item report daily for any new returns or any return items that have paid.
- Make notations in operating system to alert team members of issuers that have outstanding checks, or previously had outstanding checks but have now paid.
- The collection of items deemed ‘unworkable’ by third party vendor is the responsibility of the Regional Supervisor.
- Disputes filed on items returned as ‘duplicate presentment’
- Demand for payment collection letters sent for items returned as ‘stop pay’ or ‘refer to maker’, etc.
- Accept and process payments for collections
- Assist banking & daily reporting with any research of discrepancies in daily paperwork.
Qualification
- A valid driver’s license.
- Age: 18 years+ and must pass a drug test.
- Ensure safe working practices are trained and adhered to.
- Ability to move consistently in an urgent manner
- Good interpersonal skills, able to deal with a wide range of situations and personalities.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- A team spirited and cooperative nature.
- Professional, dependable, confident, organized, and adaptable to change.
- Proficient communication skills, including ability to speak effectively with Guests.
- Ability to read, write and count accurately to complete all documentation.
- Ability to count back change to Guest.
Education & Experience
- Previous bank teller experience preferred, but not required.
- 2-3 years of management experience, but not required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
