The Software Engineering Solutions (SES) business unit is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Simulation & Modeling to lead an organization responsible for providing customer-facing models and simulation ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, simulation and modeling, and customer support.
Responsibilities:
- Manage an engineering organization that is responsible for creating and maintaining customer-facing models and simulation options that covers the wide spectrum of Analog Devices products and customers.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the quality and performance of simulation tools.
- Work with internal IC designers and CAD to create an integrated pipeline of models, including lineage and single source of truth that spans deep IC transistor level models through to customer applicable behavior models.
- Co-Develop and maintain a consistent methodology for the creation, validation, and release of models throughout the pipeline.
- Ensure that the models generated by the pipeline are accurate, efficient, and meet customer requirements.
- Collaborate with CAD teams to develop tools that automate and streamline the model creation process.
- Manage and maintain the model database and ensure that it is easily accessible to all stakeholders.
- Champion ADI’s solutions with distributors and partners.
- Collaborate with EDA (Electronic Design Automation) vendors and internal/external ecosystems.
- Provide training and support to internal teams and customers on the development of models and the pipeline.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of simulation tools with customer requirements.
- Engage with customers to understand their simulation and modeling needs and provide effective solutions.
- Continuously assess the market and competitor landscape to identify opportunities and potential threats.
- Work with product management teams to align simulation and modeling strategies with product roadmaps.
- Motivate, develop, and lead a top-class engineering organization.
- Represent the organization in industry conferences and forums.
In addition to overseeing the responsibilities above, the Director of Simulation & Modeling will ensure that customer-facing modeling and simulation is efficient, accurate, and meets the needs of both internal and external stakeholders. The Director will work closely with internal teams, including IC designers, CAD teams, global business units, and other stakeholders, to achieve this goal.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in simulation and modeling.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams.
- Expertise in one or more of the following: LTspice, PSpice, IBIS, SIMPLIS, MATLAB, Simulink, SystemC, SystemVerilog, Verilog-AMS, or other relevant modeling/simulation tools.
- Demonstrated experience in modeling and simulation of Amplifiers, Data Converters, Power Management, and Mixed-Signal SoCs (system on chip) is desirable.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams.
- Experience in customer engagement and support.
