JOB TITLE: Minor League Medical Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Head Athletic Trainer

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Philadelphia Phillies are seeking an experienced Athletic Trainer for our Minor League Medical Coordinator role to begin December 1, 2022. The coordinator will supervise clinical services to Minor League players and field staff while collaborating interdepartmentally to optimize player injury prevention and enhance player performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following:

• Primary communicator and coordinator of services for Minor League player health status to the front office, Head ATC, and team physicians
• Assist in Major League and Minor League rehabilitation services in Clearwater, FL
• Assist Minor League medical operations liaison to oversee athletic training budgets, workers compensation program, Minor League facility DME, adherence to OSHA standards, and documentation in the electronic medical records system
• Assist the Minor League medical operations liaison to coordinate therapeutic use exemptions (TUE) with Team Employee Assistance Program Coordinator for minor leagues as well as oversee affiliate Emergency Action Plans (EAP's)
• Collaborate with the Medical Director, Head Team Physician, and Head Athletic Trainer to maintain the affiliate physician network
• Perform site visits to affiliates to help develop, educate, and collaborate with the minor league ATC's while performing routine organizational assessments

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7+ years of experience as an Athletic Trainer, with the majority of that time spent in professional baseball
• 1+ years of experience coordinating athletic training or medical operations
• National Athletic Trainer's Association – Board of Certification in good standing
• Eligible and in good standing for Florida State Licensure
• CPR / AED Certified
• Based in or open to relocation to the Clearwater, FL area

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Spanish Proficiency
• Previous managerial experience
• M.S. or other advanced degree/study
