CL Construction has an immediate opening for full-time agricultural Millwright Superintendent career opportunity. What makes you a great fit?
  • Previous Millwright/Welding/Agricultural Construction/Fabrication/Grain Elevator/Processing Plant/Maintenance experience, preferably in a lead type role
  • Previous supervisory, superintendent, foreman or similar roles
  • Thorough understanding of the Agricultural Construction Industry (Millwright preferred)

Millwright Superintendent Job Summary
The Millwright Superintendent will direct the work of Millwright laborers responsible for the installation and/or repairs of agricultural facility equipment. The ideal candidate will have a background of mechanical tasks, agricultural construction and use of manual and powered hand tools. Additional experience with motors, augers, conveyors and other such equipment is necessary. The ability to problem solve, make reasonable decisions, and reach out for assistance are critical to the success of this position. Millwright Superintendents provide transportation to the crew in company vehicles and must have a valid driver's license.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee all activities related to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing
  • Evaluate labor and material needs for each project
  • Resolve all problems that may affect project quality and completion
  • Consult blueprints, drawings, and plans to ensure that equipment is accurately placed and installed
  • Delegate tasks to millwright laborers and provide overall guidance
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records of the number of hours worked and the number of materials used for each project
  • Ensure that final project layout is accurate based on engineering designs and drawings by completing inspections
Skills, Qualifications, and Education Requirements
  • Millwright knowledge and previous experience or relatable associated experience
  • Thorough understanding of the Agricultural Construction Industry (Millwright preferred)
  • The ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans
  • Excellent management and leadership skills
  • The ability to travel out of town and out of state at times
  • Valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of, and the ability to use a variety of hand tools, powered hand tools, stick welder and other similar equipment
