Responsible for management of training for the Revenue Cycle and Clinical applications in Epic. Manages and assists in the development of training material. Works closely with our Epic Connect partner to ensure training is in step with the Epic Connect partner experience. In-depth knowledge of Epic software. Responsible for the design and facilitation of revenue cycle and clinical training across the organization. Monitors quality and regulation changes to identify and remediate processes. Prepares and updates all educational reference materials, coordinates training schedules, develops and implements process improvement initiatives. Utilizes proven methodologies to create training including needs analysis, design development, implementation and evaluations.

Overview of Responsibilities:
  • Works in conjunction with Epic Connect partner to deliver appropriate education.
  • Leads the clinical credentialing process as defined by our Epic Connect partner.
  • Works closely with enterprise departments to ensure training, resources, systems, and workflows are appropriate.
  • Works closely with trainers and analysts to communicate consistent training and messages to the end users.
  • Leads the process of the scheduling of resources on an annual and monthly basis as needed for all clinical Epic applications
  • Coordinates staff schedules for the upgrades and ongoing support of applications.
  • Provides end-user classroom training in a structured setting, via teleconferencing, or in specific offices.
  • Engages end users in the learning experience through creativity, enthusiasm, and high energy.
  • Observes learning abilities of end users, assess comprehension levels, and adjust teaching style to leaner capabilities. Uses the feedback obtained in survey data to make recommendations/adjustments to the teaching methods/styles of the instructors.
  • Participates in the implementation of new information systems or enhancements to existing systems involving the analysis of department requirements and the formation of recommended solutions.
  • Assists with the system design activities, recognizing and identifying constraints and shortcomings of particular technical approaches.
  • Learns the department workflow and application to the level of being able to test, adapt, and troubleshoot functions of the system and make recommendations for systems improvements.
  • Assists departments with the definition of new system requirements and the search, selection, and implementation of computer solutions that are available.
  • Assists in the preparation of project plans as needed to include estimating, scheduling, and resource requirements.
  • Works with outside vendors and department personnel in the installation of new systems and changes or upgrades to existing systems.
  • Assists with the development of system testing plans to include the preparation of test data necessary to assure expected results as defined by the specifications.
  • Works closely with departments to schedule classes that meets the overall system needs but also incorporates the needs of our departments to serve our customers
Education/Experience:
Education Required: Bachelors Degree in related field with relationship to training, education, clinical and/or technical major (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
Education Preferred: Bachelors Degree or Higher
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years experience in Healthcare
Experience Preferred: 5 or more years experience in Healthcare with experience teaching, managing, leading employee/patients using adult education learning principles Licensure: NA
Certifications: All necessary Epic Credentials for Revenue Cycle Applications
