We specialize in multiple areas of the value chain:

Field employees work to calibrate equipment, program and automate systems, and perform instrumentation and equipment work on client sites.

Lab employees take samples that have been collected in the field and run a multitude of tests for environmental factors and quality of the product. We also have a blending lab that works to create the chemicals that other companies use to calibrate their analytical equipment.

The Production Analytics team audits existing field structures and design, balances our client’s entire systems, and allocates royalties to maximize profits.

SPL is expanding our footprint internationally in the production, midstream, finished products, and environmental markets. We are also focused on developing industry-leading automation and data analytics tools that will help our customers ensure the integrity of their data.

Job Summary:

The Metals Analyst must be team oriented, proactive and goal driven. The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for performing metals sample digestions and analysis using ICP, ICP/MS or CVAA instrumentation in accordance with prescribed methods and standard operating procedures. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED;

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required

Prior experience in a commercial laboratory environment strongly preferred

Basic understanding of scientific procedures and measurement techniques

Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and the Internet.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs metals sample digestions, run sample turbidities, filter samples for dissolved metals
  • Prepare calibration standards as per method and/or SOP
  • Utilize ICP, ICP/MS or CVAA instrumentation to analyze sample digestates for the presence of method specified elements

Perform data interpretation, data review and data entry into LIMS. Other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED;

This position is not eligible for relocation.

Travel Requirements: 10%

Work Schedule:

This position will work 8 hours, Monday – Friday in our Plano, TX office.
