PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:- The Lead needs to accurately identify mistakes across inspections and daily load-out procedures.
- Ensure quality standards are met for future pieces.
- Responsible for making decisions on the furniture's quality standards while ensuring high-quality standards for customer orders.
- Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate the quality of products based on quality standards.
- Required to collect, analyze, and summarize data to improve quality and customer product satisfaction.
- Training and managing associates in the department to ensure best practices and quality assessments.
- Tracking products through all process touch points to guarantee that each part of the process is correct and provide improvement ideas as needed.
- Use database management systems (RTS Dashboard / PKMS / DQT Report / etc.)
- Establish and promote hard work ethics through teamwork and collaboration with associates.
- Promote safety awareness and cultivate a safety culture throughout the company. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by communicating safety topics.
- Daily start-up meetings and communication of daily/weekly goals for the department.
- Work closely with management in the daily operations of the department.
- Other projects as assigned.
- Must have 5 plus years as a proficient Lead/Supervisor or Manager.
- Must have 5 plus years of experience related to Furniture Manufacturing.
- Knowledgeable in quality control and assembling furniture.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, excellent verbal, and written, communication skills, and excellent listening skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment on multiple projects while effectively communicating in a professional manner with all levels.
- High school diploma
- Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to multitask and be extremely detailed while performing all tasks and reports.
- Ability to lift to 75 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Comfortable with walking/standing 90% of the day
