Native American Community Clinic’s Medication Assisted Treatment Program is seeking an experienced RN or LPN to join our team. Part-time and full-time hours are available with no evenings or weekends.

The program uses an integrated, harm reduction approach to providing holistic care to patients with Opioid Use Disorder. The program is culturally specific but does welcome all patients. The integrated team includes but is not limited to mental health professionals, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors, Spiritual Care Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, and Peer Recovery Specialists.

The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high quality, culturally responsive services in a fast-paced environment. This position is an excellent opportunity to promote recovery within the Native American community and beyond.

NACC requires proof of COVID vaccination.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer buprenorphine-naloxone and other medications

  • Maintain accurate medication dispensing and inventory records

  • Collect urine specimens and perform breathalyzer tests

  • Provide compassionate and culturally responsive care

  • Contribute to the ongoing assessment of patients

  • Facilitate care coordination for clients enrolled in dosing services

  • Manage the flow of patients through the dosing program

  • Assist with tracking and review of lab results

  • Perform basic patient care including taking vitals

  • Provide patient education from standardized plans

  • Complete chart and billing documentation in a timely fashion

  • Provide patients with safer use supplies such as syringes

  • Collect and maintain data for departmental and/or grant reporting

  • Other duties as assigned


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active RN or LPN license in the State of Minnesota

  • Two years of experience in working in chemical health, preferred

  • Experience working with buprenorphine-naloxone and knowledge of harm reduction principles, preferred

  • Knowledge and experience working with Native American communities, preferred
