Medical Receptionist
Job description
We are looking for a Plastic Surgery / Dermatology Front Desk Receptionist to serve as our patients’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their appointments. Front Desk Receptionist responsibilities include registering patients, managing appointments and providing information about our plastic surgery services which focus on the non surgical and surgical facial procedures. Providing excellent customer service to our patients. Previous work experience in plastic surgery and or dermatology is required. You will help create a pleasant and memorable experience for our patients. Candidates must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize work, exhibit excellent customer service skills, great communication skills, strong attention to detail, and flexibility. Travel may be required to other office location.
Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments
- Register patients collecting necessary information using electronic medical record system
- Welcome patients upon their arrival and assign rooms
- Provide information about our non-surgical and surgical procedures
- Respond to patients’ questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain records of payments and calls
- Assist in obtaining insurance verification and prior authorization
- General clerical and other assigned duties
Skills
- Previous Receptionist experience in a medical office required
- Experience with appointment software, electronic medical records
- Customer service attitude
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Insurance verification
- Must be able to multi-task
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and HIPPA
- Reliable transportation to travel to other office locations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
