Hospital Billing experience is a must and a familiarity with the Quadax system is a plus. This person must be computer literate & skilled in 10 key data entry, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

This position involves working Client hospital specific projects; Medicaid and Medicare billing and collections, secondary billing, denial management, commercial billing and collections, appeals and AR projects. The collection piece requires follow up to ensure claims are reimbursed correctly according to Client hospital contracts, including confirming claims are reimbursed at the correct DRG, EAPG or Fee Schedule. This person must have an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient, CRS and the client hospital (HIPAA)

Specific Responsibilities

• Assigned specific project for a Client Hospital with the expectation to follow their policy and procedures outlined for the project.
• Will be required to meet strict deadlines, goals and expectations, ensuring timely billing and follow up of accounts.
• Update the Client hospital system accordingly with the appropriate insurance plan codes, billing and collector codes, status and contractual adjustments, if appropriate.
• Communicates with payor contacts to ensure timeliness of account resolution & with client hospital assigned liaison, as outlined by the project.
• Follows all state, federal and specific payor regulations for billing and collections
