Equivalent ExperienceDescription:
We are looking for a mechanical design engineer with 1-3 years of custom machine design experience. This candidate should be able to make custom designs using SolidWorks per customer specification. The average day for this person will be deigning 80-90% of the day and executing on the project they were assigned. The average project length is 3-6 weeks. Ability to apply practical application of engineering principles, procedures, materials, and equipment to design projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- BSME is required
- Ability to spend 80%-90% behind a desk doing design work in SolidWorks
- PDM and AutoCAD Vault experience would be a plus
- 1-3 years of experience in machine design
- Project management experience would be a plus as this person will be focusing on one project at a time
- Experience in practical application of engineering principles, procedures, materials, and equipment to design projects.
