Bowman's Butcher Shop is a USDA inspected, family owned slaughterhouse and retail butcher shop conveniently located off I-95 in Aberdeen, MD . If you are interested in the local food movement, this is the job for you!
Responsibilities
- Fabricate beef, lamb, pork cuts into various retail cuts
- Assist in preparation of various specialty merchandise including sausages, etc.
- Assist in receiving, loading, and unloading of product deliveries
- Follow and comply with established procedures including health and sanitation, safe work practices, and weights and measures.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Enthusiasm for our company values and core philosophies
- Display a willingness to learn new processing techniques
- Willing to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of proper knife handling and and use of cutting equipment helpful.
- Knowledge of meat cuts and various cooking techniques for them
- Ability to visually examine products for quality
