Angstrom has a very diverse product portfolio with vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities including steel and aluminum forgings, high and low pressure die casting, steel stampings, tubular forming, plastic injection molding, precision machining and assembly. Current product portfolio includes safety critical suspension, steering, powertrain, driveline & structural components & assemblies.

Position Summary:

Plans, schedules and orders materials based on production demands. Ensures advance planning is accomplished and interfaces with suppliers, customers, shipping and receiving to ensure plant inventory levels are in line with goals. Responsible for materials flow in SAP, including BOM and material routers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handles material planning inbound and out for all materials at the manufacturing location
  • Maintains proper SAP material flow ensuring changes in BOM are properly captured
  • Interfaces with Shipping and Receiving to maintain proper material storage and movement
  • Interfaces with logistics providers to keep material movement aligned with targets
  • Work closely with Plant manager to achieve optimum inventory
  • Liaison with corporate team and fellow plant material managers to establish and maintain best practices
  • Actively manage inventory levels to identify and correct discrepancies

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in supply chain, business or other relevant field
  • 5+ years of Material planning experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to interface cross functionally
  • Purchasing process knowledge and discipline
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Familiarity with manufacturing/assembly processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience strongly preferred
  • Purchasing experience
  • Automotive experience
  • Supervisory experience
