The Materials Compliance Manager will lead the geographically aligned Materials & Logistics Teams in plan for every part (PFEP) development and governance, replenishment governance, and inventory integrity to enable attainment of daily build schedule requirements while maintaining acceptable inventory levels in each North American PCA. Lead the process for managing inventory through implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECN). Work cross functionally to improve materials & logistics strategies in order to develop and maintain standards with new and existing production parts. Assure Supply Chain teams are following standards when implementing, executing, and managing material deliveries to line side. Manage and control inventory processes, including leading Physical Inventories and Cycle Counting activities.
Role & Responsibility
Materials Compliance:
- Primary role is to drive productivity and operational excellence through execution of industry best practices, standards, and sound governance.
- Manages and directs the PFEP, inventory replenishment, and transaction activities across North American locations.
- Knowledgeable with regards to commodities and maintains a good working awareness of company products.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including Logistics, Manufacturing, product planning teams and engineering to develop PFEP, inventory control, and replenishment strategies.
- Oversees management of purchased and make materials in order to meet build schedule requirements.
- Manage inventory levels to achieve forecasted turn rates.
- Ensure affective Engineering Change Notices implementations.
Job Requirement
- Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience Required: 10>15 years
- Travel Required: 10-24%
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
- Incumbent needs related industrial/manufacturing experience, lean deployment skillsets, JIT principles, working knowledge of ERP and MES systems.
- Must have a strong understanding of supply chain management processes, BOM’s, inventory control, PFEP, and import/export shipping compliance.
- Able to train and mentor those that he/she supervises in the necessary skills for new product introductions, PFEP, and replenishment.
- Must be a strong team leader and able to motivate teams across geographically separated locations.
- Must be collaborative in leadership style.
