The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring for the following for a long-term position in Waynesboro VA area:

We are looking for a Material Handler to help organize our storage areas and maintain our inventory. Your job will be to prepare and fulfil orders fast and correctly so we can provide high-quality customer service. Material Handlers are integral warehouse workers. As a Material Handler, you should have great attention to detail to maintain accurate records. Some physical strength is required since you may often need to lift packages by hand. If you’re reliable and fast on your feet, we’d like to meet you.

Material Handler Skills

• Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate or similar position
• Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks)

• Strong communication skills
• Dexterity and attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
• License to operate forklifts
• Availability to occasionally work overtime
• High school diploma

Material Handler Job Requirements:

• Safely work in a team environment
• Work 12 hr. shifts including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to climb stairs and equipment safely
• Work in hot and cold environments
• Be flexible to work many job requests during the shift
• Work overtime as needed to fill vacancies
• Stand for extended periods of time
• Obtain forklift certification and demonstrate safe and efficient use of forklifts
• Wear all appropriate PPE as required
• Have steel toed shoes on at all times
• Comply with all general site rules
• Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards
• Load and unload packages

• Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, etc.
• Wrap orders and place them on trucks for delivery
• Document materials and any stock movements

Material Handler Job Duties Could Include:

• Material Handling and Packing, Knot tying, Pushing buggies and carts, Making boxes, and Housekeeping
• Operate PIV’s (Power Ox, Back Truck, & Forklift), Trash Compactor, Palletizer, and Stretch Wrapper.

Applicants must also possess the ability to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen and other requirements for site entry.
