Purpose: The Master Scheduler is responsible for all aspects of designated production area planning performance to plan monitoring. Including supply chain, advance scheduling, consideration of key input requirements (manufactured and/or procured) and demand planning. Working with personnel to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals are met.

Key Result Areas:

· Create and promote a safe working environment in all departments.

· Manage all ordering and planning of commercial products in designated area.

· Manage scheduling or production in designated production area

· Monitor all daily issues of production area and hourly personnel

· Support applicable equipment and personnel to optimize efficiency responsiveness and deliverability

· Monitoring of daily production, ensuring that all operations are completed per procedures for products meets all required quality standards

· Play key role in overall plant yield improvement program – including work with quality and continuous improvement.

· Sourcing Management (Supplier selection for new product, total cost, quality and timing)

· Collaboration with maintenance and engineering to ensure all critical equipment is properly serviced and maintained to optimize efficiency

· Insure accurate accounting and control of inventory levels in areas of responsibility.

· Key role in SIOP process including but not limited to capacity planning (materials and resources) to meet given demand plan

· Key role in utilization of work order management team

· Any other tasks as assigned by management

· Knowledge/Skill Requirements: Working knowledge of office equipment and excellent computer skills necessary to perform this job. This individual must possess excellent communication skills with all levels and functional areas of the business. Must be able to work in a self-directed capacity and coordinate work effort all employees and coworkers. General office skills are required. Supply chain knowledge

Qualifications: At least 2 years at college is minimum, or equivalent work-related experience. Computer literate using MS Office programs with Intermediate level of Excel. This position uses databases for controlling the data and documentation (JDE). Good organization and time management skills required. Must be able to communication well and foster a positive engaging work environment.

Experience: With minimum 2years work experience in production scheduling in a manufacturing setting. JD Edward experience, preferred. In addition to, supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Knowledge: Must be familiar with total quality and continuous improvement methods, including work order management within a manufacturing environment.

Skills & Behaviours:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Efficient typing skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and legal aspects of purchasing.

  • Strong proficiency with MRP/ERP systems ex: JDE, SAP, Other

· Ability to compile information and make decisions.

· Ability to work under pressure.

· Ability to recognize market and industry drivers that have a direct impact on mid (3 mo) to long-range (annual) planning decisions.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to deal with employees at all levels within the organization.

· Safe work attitude and team oriented.

Problem Solving & Complexity: Able to troubleshoot and audit documentation for inaccuracies and inconsistencies. Organized thought process with high attention to detail with ability to produce just in time accurate results, effective prioritization to meet scheduled deadlines, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Professional attitude and the ability to represent the company with integrity.
