GENERAL DESCRIPTION
As the Marketing Web Developer, on the marketing team, you will work on the web team helping with designing, developing, and maintaining internal and external websites. This will include coding, testing, debugging, deployment, database design, developing API integrations, integrating new and existing systems, and learning new technologies quickly. This position will also work with our partners, both internal and external, to determine their wants and needs to create effective solutions.
This candidate should have experience working on PHP based CMS platforms, with Craft CMS being a plus. We will be rebuilding our site on the Umbraco CMS platform this year, therefore experience with Umbraco or other .NET based CMS platforms is a major plus. They should have a thorough comprehension of .NET/C#, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, Google Analytics/GA4, mobile optimization, and SEO. The marketing team plays a significant role across the organization, so the Marketing Web Developer will have opportunities to learn new skills and grow in their role.
A high level of attention to detail and excellent critical thinking skills are essential for success in this position. As a member of the marketing team, being a highly proficient communicator is also essential.
- Enhance the overall appearance and experience of our websites and ancillary partner websites with high-quality web development work to meet requirements within tight deadlines.
- Write clean, easily maintained, and future proof code for both the front and back-ends of all company websites
- Translate business specifications into optimized, web-based solutions
- Thoroughly test all website and application changes and prepare deployments
- Troubleshoot and repair website issues, both code and server related
- Work with individuals and departments to develop/update web pages that adhere to MedCerts’ design standards and brand identity. This will include hands-on work producing/updating website content and images through our CMS
- Coordinate with our digital marketing and agency teams to ensure proper tracking on the website and PPC landing pages
- Monitor and identify areas of improvement for SEO implementation, site performance, and ADA accessibility
- Handle and prioritize multiple projects while meeting strict timelines
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor
- Support all business objectives by contributing professional, “fresh” ideas to adapt to business changes and trends
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, other related fields. Applicable experience will be considered in lieu of this requirement.
- 4-6 years of experience in front-end and back-end development with an in-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, testing and deployment)
- Experience maintaining and customizing PHP based CMS systems a must, Craft CMS is a plus
- Experience with front-end development including HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/jQuery a must
- Experience with .NET, C#, MVC framework, .NET web APIs
- Experience building and maintaining deployment pipelines
- Experience with database management/SQL
- Experience with Git version control
- Working knowledge of CRM/marketing tools including Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and HubSpot is a plus
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager experience a plus
- Experience working with and managing outside vendors or agencies
- Experience with complex, large-scale website redesign projects a plus
- Possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and support multiple projects at the same time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is fully remote, work-from-home. This is a remote position in which work will be completed during normal business hours (approximately 8:30am – 5:00pm EST) Monday through Friday, with some weekends and/or evenings required. Some domestic travel may be required, including some overnight.
