Marketing Coordinator (Onsite or Remote)

A Day in the Life of the Marketing Coordinator

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will professionalize and help start our marketing department. You'll serve as the main content writer, liaison for outsourced agencies, and making sure to meet timelines for creating and providing internal materials. Content work will include managing website content, customer-facing sell sheets and labels, email marketing, social media and implementing some basic website updates. You should have knowledge of platforms for email marketing, social media management, basic design platforms (Canva), project management and Google Drive. Proficiency in Netsuite is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Write copy, create editorial calendar, and track metrics for marketing materials, social media, email campaigns and website
• Act as a coordinator for gathering all assets needed by outside vendors (website developers, designers, etc.) and key liaison to external agencies and other vendors.
• Track advertising campaigns, reporting against performance, and working closely with the agency to identify areas of improvement and adjustments to optimize campaigns in real time
• Manage website requests and keep the website up to date with patches and license renewals; update existing landing pages on an ongoing basis and support design in building new landing pages
• Make SEO recommendations (descriptions and long-tail keywords) to support discoverability of programs
• Manage data hygiene across all channels to ensure proper UTM tracking
• Send performance insights to internal clients
• Create engaging content for social stories; Obtain social and email approvals from Social Media and Content Manager
• Build email templates to support post visit surveys, development appeals and more

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or communications
• 1-2 years of experience in marketing execution (trafficking, buyer or planner), agency experience preferred
• Experience working with agencies or clients, comfortable leading meetings with agencies and making decisions about paid media performance optimizations
• Knowledge of digital marketing, segmentation
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) tools (Netsuite preferred)
• Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Willingness to brainstorm and think creatively about social content ideas
• Experience planning and executing marketing strategies and initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NetSuite
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
• Familiar with UTMs and marketing tracking
• Experience working on traditional media channels as well as digital a plus but not required
• Experience with Google Analytics
• Experience placing pixels, tagging and tracking
