Job Title: Marketing Coordinator

Location: Blue Line Arts, 405 Vernon St. Roseville, CA 95678

Hours of Work: 30-40 hours per week, Mon- Sat from 9-5pm. Flexible hours.

Reports to: The Co-Executive Directors

Objective:

Blue Line Arts is a nonprofit arts organization located in Downtown Roseville that serves as a regional cultural hub committed to fostering impactful arts experiences. Through exhibitions, educational programming, and public arts initiatives, we support a full creative life for all. We are looking for a friendly, professional, and motivated Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This is a newly added position to our growing organization. Job Description:

The Marketing Coordinator is a multi-talented, team-oriented person with a passion for storytelling who is primarily responsible for clear and consistent messaging. This role is suited to a dynamic, highly organized person with a creative approach to marketing strategies to achieve established goals. This position occasionally provides a positive first impression for visiting guests by providing valuable information on current exhibitions, events, and programming. This position plays a key role in promoting our organization’s positive impact on the community.

Responsibilities for Marketing Coordinator:

  • Supports the marketing initiatives established in the organization’s strategic plan with the planning, executing, and tracking of marketing programs such as email, event, social media and content marketing.
  • Coordinates promotions and community events (monthly 3rdSaturday Receptions), including overseeing logistics, managing registrations, coordinating with vendors, creating itineraries and ordering marketing collateral as needed.
  • Coordinates product, event, and content email marketing campaigns, including copy, scheduling, testing, database management and data performance tracking.
  • Creates, proofreads, and edits copy for various marketing platforms such as WordPress website, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc. to ensure consistent voice.
  • Assists with developing and managing content for the website and social media marketing platforms, including blogs and public relations efforts.
  • Evaluates and monitors campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and creating comprehensive reports to track progress and goals in line with the organization’s strategic plan.
  • Manages relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing programs, and to ensure competitiveness.
  • Conducts marketing research and identify trends to incorporate into marketing strategies to maximize reach and track positive impact towards the organization’s goals.
  • Manages the organization’s media archive files (such as photos, videos, etc) on an ongoing basis.
  • Provides occasional front desk coverage as needed to enthusiastically provide guests with information on current exhibitions, events, and program offerings. Solicits art sales, memberships, and event registrations from visitors.
  • Provides occasional assistance during the installation of exhibitions and preparatory work as needed.
  • Directs volunteers and interns with tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences/ideal customers and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Organized and displays great time management including task prioritization with deadlines.
  • Must be a self-starter who is proactive, responsible, reliable, independent, and able to work within a close-knit team.
  • Can submit to a LiveScan background check.
  • Solid knowledge of Wordpress and Google Analytics is preferred.
  • Familiarity with or the ability to learn the following programs is preferred: Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, Airtable, Constant Contact, Buffer, WooCommerce, NeonCRM and Square.
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools (such as Google Ad Grants and Meta Business Manager).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills.
  • Perform moderate physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for long periods of time during periods of art installation. Must be able to remain stationary for 50% of work hours.
  • Must have strong organizational and project management skills, as well as an attention to detail.
  • Must have strong analytical skills to analyze metrics and create reports.
  • Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices including social, digital and email marketing.
  • Knowledge of modern office methods and practices including filing, phone reception, scheduling is preferred.
  • Professed enthusiasm for the arts and its positive impact on communities, familiarity with arts and culture in the Placer/ Sacramento region.
  • Articulate in current art issues, which may include art education, regional art programs and public art projects.

Priority will be given to applicants with the following Education/Training:

  • Holds a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
  • Has 1-3 years of marketing experience, (paid or volunteer).
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the Arts and/or Non-profit Arts Organizations.
  • Has a valid driver's license.

Compensation:

  • Commensurate with experience – $18.00-23.00 per hour to start.
  • 5% commission on solicited art sales and memberships.
  • Employer provides healthcare benefits.

  • 20-40% employee discount on gallery purchases and art programs.

Work Schedule

Flexible Monday- Saturday 9-5 pm. And monthly shifts during 3rdSaturday reception events, special events such as rentals and fundraisers, and possible Sunday hours during an installation period. Should expect to work at least one Saturday shift per month.
