Schneider Electric in Columbia MO has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Project (Program) Manager. The Project (Program) Manager will lead strategic industrial Programs. The Project (Program) Manager is responsible for achieving Program objectives. S/he works closely with the Program Sponsor and Program Management Team to define the Program objectives, create Program plans, and execute the plan to achieve Program objectives. The Program Manager has a working knowledge of the technical and organizational environments in which the Program deliverables are created and in which they will be used. The Program Manager must be an excellent communicator at all levels within the Program environment, be proactive, exhibit strong leadership qualities, be able to influence and be able to adapt to a dynamic and potentially geographically disbursed Program environment.
What will you do?
- Assure the management of Industrial and Supply Chain transformation projects within the facility.
- Responsible for meeting the scope, schedule, resource and budget commitments reflected in the Program/Project Management Plan.
- Lead the Program/Project management team in developing and managing the Program Management Plan within the constraints established and approved by the Program Sponsor.
- Implement and enforce change control over Program scope, schedule, resources and budget.
- Negotiate with functional managers and/or organizational management to obtain adequate resources with appropriate skills to staff the Program team.
- Manage the timely resolution of issues, including the escalation of issues that are outside of the Program team’s scope of responsibility.
- Continually identify and proactively manage Program risks & issues, ensure execution of corrective action plans up to closure.
- Monitor the Program and report the Program status to management on a regular basis.
- Requires Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering discipline, Masters is a plus
- 3+ years of Project management (as team member or leader, but with good understanding of Program management)
- At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations
- Leadership skills: Communicator, Organizer, Influential, Action Planner, Self Motivated, Implementer
- 5+ years experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Capital Project / business case preparation
- Strong understanding of finance and cost accounting
- Fluent English
- Experience with metering preferred
- Willing to travel 25-50% domestic and international
