Your Role
Manufacturing Manager

As a Manufacturing Manager with us, you’ll oversee all duties associated with manufacturing operations, including production, processing, machinery, and packaging. You’ll also develop priorities, create budgets and schedules, and establish quality control processes. Your goal is to run the floor, ensuring everything is built to specification and on-time, regardless of the line of business
What You’ll Be Doing
Essential Functions
- Leads manufacturing/conversion processes in Crate, Foam and Corrugated
- Ensures quality guidelines are met
- Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions
- Administers established policies and procedures related to departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change
- Schedules daily workflow for both employees and materials, ensures there is a sustainable workflow and clear expectations
- Manages all production activities performed by employees; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees throughout the shift
- Forecasts staffing needs to meet peak demands of the business and staff team; accordingly, trains, motivates, coaches, rewards, and disciplines employees being supervised; resolves personnel issues and involves Human Resources, when necessary
- Establishes and maintains department standards for productivity, quality, reliability, on-time delivery, and accuracy
- Coordinates with quality control to maintain quality standards; takes appropriate corrective measures to resolve deficiencies
- Collaborates with Human Resources and Division General Management to manage personnel issues including but not limited to vacation approvals, timecard approval, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, and training
- Assists Management with development and implementation of policies and procedures; ensures all employees follow established policies and procedures
- Resolves production-related issues with Engineering and Customer Service
- Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
- Maintains safety programs and all required safety training for employees
- Performs other duties as assigned by Division General Management
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in Manufacturing
- Comprehensive knowledge of Manufacturing concepts and principles
- Brownie points if you have 4+ years of manufacturing experience in the crating or packing industries
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Bilingual English and Spanish
