Position Summary

At Intra Corporation, we innovate and collaborate to serve our automotive and aerospace customers at the highest technical and professional level. The Manufacturing Manager position has the responsibility under the Executive Vice President of planning, managing employing and controlling all the company’s means of production for the purpose of meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements at a competitive cost of goods sold.

Furthermore, this position will develop, motivate, lead and train employees and is dedicated toward innovation and continual improvement in product costs, safety, quality, and customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

· Manages activities of production, general machining, assembly, and machine commissioning.

· Execute Master Schedule planning and work closely with the Master Scheduler to plan production, assembly, and milestone schedules.

· Work to meet, build and deliver goals of the operations.

· The Master Scheduler and the Purchasing Department will provide daily reports to the Manufacturing Manager on the operations and job order status.

· Identify, establish, and maintain priorities for the operation teams.

· Managing and developing a team of manufacturing employees, including hiring, terminating, disciplining, motivating, leading and coaching employees as needed.

· Present to the Executive Leadership Team, status of large programs and schedules.

· Collaborate with the Engineering and Estimating departments for technical reviews.

· Conducting inspections of work areas to monitor progress on projects or to identify areas of improvement.

· Developing, partnering with the HR/Quality department, and enforcing safety standards for employees to follow when working with machinery or other potentially dangerous tools and equipment.

· Participate in the development of long-term plans for the company.

· Establishing policies and procedures to ensure that manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently.

· Develop and maintain formal and informal reports to the Executive Vice President and President of the Company within the area of responsibility.

· Must be able to work long hours (10 hours+) during the week and must be open to working on the weekends.

Education, Skills and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.

· Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role.

· Proven track record of successful production management in a fast-paced environment.

· Knowledge/experience with other machines (lathe, mill, CNC set up/programming, surface grind, jig grind) is not required but is beneficial.

· Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

· Strong understanding of quality control standards (ISO 9001, 14001 and 17025).

· Experience managing large teams of 25+ employees.

· Computer literacy to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, M2M, AutoCAD.

· Must be able to provide hands-on leadership, coaching and training as needed.

· Excellent communication (active listening oral and written), interpersonal and teambuilding skills.

Working Conditions: Production Floor

Physical Demands:

· May be asked to lift up to 50 pounds.

· Standing or sitting at a desk for long period of times

· Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, walking, twisting, and stooping during a fully scheduled shift.
