Role Statement
Build a better community by working with other TAL associates to create new stores and improve existing facilities.
Outcomes for Success
- Work with associates and team members to plan and execute new construction projects, renovations, capital improvements and repairs, and store resets, etc.
- Collaborate with development team leaders towards a common goal, established by a “Project Charter,” by streamlining the project delivery process; review budget, progress, submittals, construction schedule, and forecast performance on all projects.
- Manage the entire planning, entitlement, development, and construction processes as assigned with a view towards best-in-class application of placemaking and architectural design, brand positioning, and differentiated but disciplined and reliable construction delivery methods and techniques.
- Manage communications and entitlement actions with various government and non-government agencies with jurisdiction over project elements such as cities, counties, towns, US Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Ecology, etc.
- Oversee and manage to completion warranty repairs and capital projects and repairs, e.g., roof replacement, HVAC repairs, yard paving, installation of new yard racking and out-buildings, etc.
- Assist in identifying designers, contractors, subcontractors, and specialty trades to execute projects; maintain excellent working relationship with same.
- Develop and implement estimates and schedules for assigned projects.
- Assist Merchandising Department with resets of open-and-operating stores and yards.
- Assist Marketing Department with signage installations.
- Maintain current records for construction, fixture and signage standards, architectural plans, permit drawings, as-built construction drawings, operations and maintenance manuals and warranty information, etc. in a centralized database.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Qualifications
- 10 plus years in commercial construction serving in roles as estimator, project manager or superintendent, with experience in greenfield, ground-up, renovations and remodels, etc. Experience in renovating operating retail facilities is required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong negotiating skills.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to talk and/or hear.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to tour a job site, which may include an existing facility, lumber yard or undeveloped parcel of land.
- Must be able to travel to TAL store locations on a frequent basis. Travel can include travel by motor vehicle, small aircraft, or watercraft.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
