National Gypsum Services Company has an immediate opening for a Manager Logistics/SC KPI's & Master Data position at our Charlotte, NC location. This position will report to the director logistics and supply chain planning.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position supports the logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain teams, across all business units, through understanding current logistics and supply chain processes, and also understanding key underlying SAP master data and key TM and supply chain performance metrics for Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain. This position will be the approval / signoff, and update authority for all significant TM master data updates. Also, this position will work with logistics and the Technology Solutions Center on creating useful data views / queries across multiple systems and tables, and in creating key performance reports in SAP reporting tools. This position will also train and grow end user SAP reporting / querying skills across all of Manufacturing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ( not all inclusive):

· Accountable for accurate maintenance / updates to all critical SAP TM Master Data including

o Lanes and Zones

o Carrier and Business Partners

o Business Shares

o Freight Rates and Charges

o Resources, etc.

· Periodically, audits and validates actual freight charges against assumed/designed charges per SAP TM master data

· Work with carrier partners and EDI Support to identify and correct issues with load tender and shipment status record tracking, carrier e-link processes, and EDI transaction sets required to support SAP TM

· Generate and publish weekly carrier performance scorecards to carrier partners – including tender performance and on-time delivery

· Ensures that on time delivery metric on carrier scorecards is correct, and matches on-time % that is within OTIF [on time in full] metric

· Evaluate, implement, and manage any 3rd party web-based analytics and reporting platforms

· Generate, proof and publish monthly KPI’s for NGC annual $350 million freight spend, using SAP business intelligence tools. KPI’s include:

o Percent on time delivery [overall, by carrier, by plant]

o Freight cost per purchasing or selling UOM

o Freight cost per ton-mile

o Freight cost per mile

o Average length of haul (miles), etc.

· Support logistics and manufacturing managers with on demand / ad-hoc reports or develop new ongoing reports as needed to enhance visibility and decision making

· Train NGC Logistics, Manufacturing, Plant and Procurement end users in use of SAP BOBJ tools to query TM/SCM/ECC views for their own reports. Includes use of BOBJ tools such as WEBI, Analysis for Excel and Lumira

· Support logistics and supply chain staff with data analysis/extracts, and other duties as assigned – for carrier negotiations, network optimization, master data management, supply chain improvement initiatives

· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 10-15 years of direct experience in supporting logistics and supply chain – with master data, analysis and reporting.

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, IT, Business, Supply Chain, Operations Mgt. or similar field

· SAP ECC, BI and TM experience preferred

· Able to quickly understand metrics and calculations, and underlying SAP data sources to create views and metrics.

· Strong passion for answering business questions using data analysis

· Can demonstrate expertise in analytical tools and hands on use of query tools such as Business Objects [WEBI, Analysis for Excel, Lumira], SQL Server Reporting Services/Power BI/Tableau [joining to external data sources, joining tables, query creation, reporting, etc.]

· Creative, Adaptable, comfortable with new approaches

· Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in teams, participate in cross-functional improvement efforts with individuals at all levels of the organization

· Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills

· Strong verbal and written communication skills
