ONE Gas is looking for a Gas Supply Manager at our Austin location. You would report to the Director of Gas Supply.

What You Will Do

• Manage supply and demand planning, volumes calculations, record keeping, scheduling, and allocations of gas into and out of the pipeline and distribution systems, ensuring customers' needs are met.

• Manage employees and perform the following activities including:

• Nomination/scheduling/allocation of gas contracts

• Transportation and pipeline capacity release activity

• Develop and execute annual gas supply plan(s)

• Administer and monitor daily demand forecasts

• Identify gas volumes to purchase/sell

• Identify market opportunities

• Volumes calculation and record keeping

• Gas cost hedging activities

• Negotiate terms and conditions of North American Energy Standards Board and other wellhead contracts.

• Recommend procedural changes and company policies designed to decrease gas purchase and transportation costs and reduce volatility.

• Monitor state and federal rules and regulations related to purchase and transportation of gas, and make recommendations for relevant changes.

• Develop appropriate business policies to comply with state and federal legislation and regulation.

• Research, read, and interpret the following information including:

• Pipeline transportation tariffs

• State and federal rules, regulations, and regulatory orders

• Gas purchase/sale agreements

• Exchange agreements

• Nomination forms

• Wellhead gas purchase contracts and related information

• Company tariffs

• Compile, prepare, process, and approve the following including:

• Demand and market forecasts

• Contracts, confirmations, amendments and corrections

• Exchange agreements

• Operational balancing agreements

• Economic analyses on as-available gas, capacity release, gas purchase/sales agreements, and imbalance settlements

• Gas supply process and activities manual

• Financial transactions and derivatives activities

• Internal and external correspondence

• Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

• Employee will be asked to perform additional tasks as assigned.

What You Will Need

• Bachelor's Degree business administration, engineering, accounting or the following job-related experience:

• Experience with and knowledge of company gas purchasing, gas contracts, and gas supply operations.

• Experience with the application of math, algebraic formulas, and statistical methods.

• Demonstrated ability to and standard PC computer applications such as Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Training related to:

• Gas control, gas accounting, or industrial/commercial marketing

• Demand forecasting and regression analysis

• Supervisory and management skills

• Experience researching, analyzing, verifying, and/or preparing contracts related to transportation, storage, exchange, off-system sales, and pipeline capacity release.

• Experience reading and interpreting contracts, legal documents, industry and governmental regulations, journals, publications, and correspondence.

• Experience interacting, advising, assisting, and communicating effectively.

• Experience supervising, directing, and training; working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.

• Experience developing information and conducting group presentations.

• Read and write fluently in English.

• Minimum Applicable driver's license.

• Mobility to travel in and around office facilities.

• Communicate and exchange information or instructions; conduct oral presentations.

• Visual ability to perform job responsibilities.
