The Manager, Data Governance and Management is a technical position that requires strong data governance, data architecture, and an understanding of enterprise application integration knowledge as related to AMC’s enterprise information management data assets. A primary focus for this role is to implement and lead a Data Governance (Business Units and Information technology) program at an enterprise level and execute it successfully towards a long-term strategic path.

What you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining industry standards, guidelines and best practices for data management operations globally at enterprise/corporate level that span across multiple products
- Facilitate a team of managers, analysts and developers related to data to ensure best practice and governance is followed
- Provide insight and direction from a data governance and management perspective, assessment of impact on technology systems and participation in the full development lifecycle of the capability being delivered
- Responsible for oversight and design of data structures, integration and analytics as it pertains to data governance and data quality programs
- Ensure that business and quality requirements are being met by the data design and implementation
- Ensure that architectural integrity and best practices are maintained at the project, program and enterprise level through communication skills
- 5+ years of experience managing a team of 3+ data professionals and/or integration developers
- Possess, or has made progress towards, Data Governance and Data Management Professional certifications or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to gather, sort and analyze data and then develop logical conclusions
- 5+ years of experience with Data Management tools
- 5+ years of management of technical/support personnel
- 5+ years of project management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or networking related technologies
- Experience managing software solution projects that have a budget of at least $500,000 and business systems portfolios consisting of multiple applications/technologies and teams (direct or matrix)
