Performs quality diagnostic images which are complex and elaborate to the Specialty Area to assist the physician in the diagnosis of injury and/or disease.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
2. Must have West Virginia State Licensure and ARRT.
3. Must provide documentation in support of current FDA training requirements or meet FDA training requirements within 3 months of being accepted into position.
4. Must have ARRT Mammography Certification or be willing to obtain certification within 12 months of being accepted into position.

1. Prepares and explains exams to patients.
2. Preforms all exams that pertain to specialty area.
3. Maintains proper radiation protection for all patients as established by set guidelines, when appropriate.
4. Maintains current knowledge of procedures in specialty area in order to perform assigned duties.
5. Assists physicians during specialty exams.
6. Maintains all records of needed service of equipment.
7. Upon completion of exam, all paperwork is finished that deals with patient.

1. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to instruct and comfort patients and their families, and maintain effective contacts with a variety of hospital personnel, recognize and reinforce positive efforts of all coworkers and address personnel problems in a tactful and timely manner.
2. Analytical skills necessary in order to implement effective care and develop solutions to problems concerning patients’ mental and physical well-being.
3. Ability to be scheduled for work based on the operational needs of the hospital.
4. Possess the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with guests.
5. Basic computer knowledge in order to document effectively.
