ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Perform PM tasks, condition monitoring and predictive maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns.

2. Inspect equipment, motors and vehicles for defects, misalignment, wear, excessive vibration, etc. Perform routine inspections, testing and repairs of all company vehicles and rolling stock including: forklifts, tractors, straddle carriers, articulated loaders, trucks, etc. Lubricate, calibrate and adjust equipment to maintain peak performance and established operating parameters.

3. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion and electrical problems to determine and correct root cause of problem or failure.

4. Assist in failure analysis of recurring problems Recommend shutdowns for emergency repairs or major rebuilds.

5. Dismantle, clean, repair, and reinstall equipment or components.

6. Build and install safety equipment such as guards and railings.

7. Analyze drawings, wiring diagrams and electrical and hydraulic schematics for troubleshooting, repair, calibration, modification, installation of new equipment, and servicing of all types of electronic devices and electronic control systems.

8. Sketch parts or designs and constructs adaptations or conversions of component parts.

9. Perform furnace refractory repairs and replacement as required.

10. Complete required maintenance/service records. Properly complete repair work orders.

11. Perform work in accordance with ECF’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

OTHER DUTIES

• Report defective material and faulty equipment to the supervisor immediately.
• Assist machine shop and heat treat employees in performance of their duties whenever necessary.
• Maintain working area in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
• Report all damage on a damage report.
• Follow Lean initiative program.
• Cover constrained work centers if needed.
• Observes all safety rules and regulations.
• Performs all other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING

• High School Diploma or GED LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
• Must be able to pass Ramsey test,

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $33.70 per hour
