Maintenance Technician - Remington, IN

Schedule: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

You Will Spend Your Time...

This position is for a Maintenance Tech 1. This is an entry-level maintenance position with the responsibility for caretaking of equipment including, but not limited to:

• Boilers
• Chillers
• Air handlers
• Compressors
• Cooling towers
• A wide variety of industrial pumps and blowers.

As we are a food facility, there are multiple cleanliness standards that you will be trained in.

As this is an entry position, we provide the training to properly care for the above equipment and much more.

Job Requirements

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs,
• Ability to work from a ladder, work from heights, retain information,
• Ability to work in and around hazardous environments, and must keep yourself and others safe.
• Ability to follow facility policies and procedures.
• Prior maintenance experience in electricity and/or mechanical settings is a plus.

The promotion beyond Maintenance Tech 1 to Maintenance Tech 2 happens when the employee has reached sufficient knowledge of the facility to be in the on-call rotation schedule, which is required to be met within 6 months of hiring, sooner if the employee shows capability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
