Job description
This position is a Maintenance Technician, Electrical Level II. Knowledge of corrugated machinery preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
An electrical level two training certification is required for this position.
Install, repair, and maintain a variety of electrical and electronic equipment and controls related to all production machinery including motors, relays, circuit breakers, machines and process controls and circuits alarm and communication systems. Diagnose problems and replace, or repair worn or defective parts.
Install, set up and make repairs to all production machinery components and sub-components including high-pressure steam, water, air, hydraulic, electrical and gas lines, piping and tubing. diagnose problems, disassemble, determine extent of repairs or make repairs and adjustments.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Assist with other general machine repairs, rebuild machinery sub-components, repair and maintain facility, building structure and office structure as necessary.
Perform welding, lubrication, plumbing, carpentry, lathe work and other operations as required.
Maintain an acceptable level of attendance and punctuality.
Must have good mechanical skills and knowledge of machinery, preferably in a corrugated industry.
Must have the ability to apply and troubleshoot electrical systems.
Must be able to use and understand basic hand tools, have an understanding and how to use micrometers and dial indicators, and must have license to operate lift trucks.
Must be willing and able to work all overtime as required.
Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
